Two Anniversary Weekend for Tim McGraw
According to This day in Country Music there are two reasons that Tim McGraw should be celebrating this weekend. The first is his 20 year anniversary of his release date for his song "My Best Friend" and the second is 23rd wedding anniversary to his best friend, Faith Hill.
On October 4th 1999 Tim release the third single from his album A Place In The Sun the song My Best Friend ended up going all the way to the top of the Billboard Hot Country Chart. The album this also contain the hits Please Remember Me and My Next Thirty Years.
Three years previous to his number one being released Tim married his best friend Faith Hill On October 6th 1996. I can remember when Faith came to the original Hunter Mountain Festival and she had just met Tim. A lot of you might have been at that show. Shortly after she performed on the side of our favorite mountain for music she married Tim. They had become friends on the Spontaneous Combustion tour and now the rest is history.
Tim and Faith have been fans of the Hudson Valley for a long time. It would be nice to think they may have even considered celebrating their anniversary in one of our local towns. Tim recorded an his Live Like You Were Dying album in Woodstock in 2004. It was also rumored and confirmed that the couple lived in Columbia County for a time so The McGraws spending a weekend in New York is not out of the realm of possibility. However I don't think we will spot them this weekend.
The next time we see Tim it could be at a book signing for his book due out November 5th on this year Grit & Grace. We will keep you posted.
