Two big country artist who you can still see in concert were on the top of the charts on this day (July 11th) one in 1987 and the other in 2012. This Day in Country Music is a great source for looking back at cool country music history facts. I glance at it regularly to see the fun facts that pop up and it turns out that today is a big day for two of the Hudson Valley's favorite country stars that you can actually catch in concert this summer.

It was 32 year ago today that George Strait had a number one hit with "All My Ex's Live in Texas". And one month from now (Saturday, August 17th) you can see him with Blake Shelton and more at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. Get your tickets so you don't miss George doing this number one and his newest music from his latest album Honky Tonk Time Machine.

The other big country star celebrating a number one on this day in history is Luke Bryan who will be at Bethel Woods on Thursday, September 12th. On this day in 2012 Luke celebrated a number hit with "Drunk on You" off his album Tailgates & Tanlines. Remember you can follow the Pure Leaf Tour to Luke Bryan with Flory's and the Wolf every Wednesday this summer for a chance to win a four pack of tickets to the show.
