September 10th, 1991 was a big day in "90's" country and we didn't even know it. Well actually we did because the artists that are celebrating Number ones on this day were actually number one because we loved them then but I sometimes wonder if they knew have much we'd love them still. According to This Day In Country Music both Brooks & Dunn and Garth Brooks celebrate 28 year old milestones.

It was September 10th 1991 when Garth Brooks released his third studio album entitled Ropin' the Wind. I debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and the Top Country Album chart. It actually went to the top 4 times giving it a combined total of 18 weeks at number one.

It was also on this day in 1991 that Brooks & Dunn were on top of the charts. Their song Brand New Man was the duo's debut single and just also happened to be the first single from their album of the same name. This was Brooks & Dunn's first number one single and as we like to say the rest is country music history.

Fast forward 28 years later and both Garth Brooks and Brooks & Dunn are still fan favorites. They are still making music history and turning out hits. And they both still wow a crowd in concert. Garth is playing stadiums making country music firsts like his show at Notre Dame Stadium. Brooks & Dunn have taken to the road to get in on the festival fun. Hopefully you caught their show this summer at Taste of Country Music Festival.

Long Live 90's Country!
