Riding a mini-bike can be a lot of fun and around the holidays they can be a pretty popular gift. If you gave or received a mini bike for the holidays, it may be involved in a nationwide recall due to a problem with the fuel tank venting system.

From October 2017 through January 2018, Monster Moto mini bikes were sold at stores nationwide and online at Amazon for between $800 and $850. These bikes are model MM-B1212 off-road mini bikes powered by a pull-0statrt self-contained 212cc 7.5 hp gas engine with a retractable kickstand.

According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, a problem has been discovered involving the fuel venting system. It can leak posing a fire hazard. Consumers are being asked to stop using these bikes immediately and to contact Monster Moto for a free repair kit or to make an appointment for a free repair at an authorized repair center.
