M&M’s Recalled in 20 States, Including New York

A recall has been issued for thousands of repackaged M&M candies that were sold in 20 states, including New York.

If you are planning to give candy to your valentine this Valentine's Day, be aware that one of the most popular brands of candy has been recalled.

The United States Food and Drug Administration has confirmed that thousands of promotional packs of Peanut M&M’s and original M&M’s have been voluntary recalled after a labeling error omitted allergen warnings.

M&M Candy Recalled in Twenty States, Including New York

Beacon Promotions Inc. is voluntarily recalling nearly 6,000 promotional packs of 1.3-ounce Peanut M&M’s and original M&M’s. The Minnesota-based company announced the recall back on January 26th, 2026, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration classified it as "Class II" on February 4th, 2026, meaning consumption could cause temporary or medically reversible health effects.

According to the recall, the candy products may contain undeclared milk, soy, and peanuts, which could pose a risk to consumers with allergies.

Which M&M's Are Affected?

The recall affects Peanut M&M’s that feature the "Make Your Mark" labels, which include the lot code M1823200 and have a best-by date of April 30, 2026. The original M&M’s included in this recall have the following lot codes and best-by dates:

• Lot L450ARCLV03, Best By 12/1/2025
• Lot L502FLHKP01, Best By 1/1/2026
• Lot L523CMHKP01, Best By 6/30/2026
• Lot L537GMHKP01, Best By 9/1/2026

According to WRGB, the recalled products were distributed in 20 states, including Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Consumers who are allergic to milk, soy, or peanuts are advised not to consume the recalled candies and to throw them away to avoid potential allergic reactions.
