Walmart has announced a massive recall of outdoor stoves after discovering that they can explode or catch fire, causing a burn risk to anyone using them.

Walmart is recalling over 200,000 camp stoves that were sold online and at stores nationwide after learning that the stoves could possibly explode or catch fire, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Walmart Recalls Camp Stoves

Select Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stoves, priced between $8 and $45, sold between March 2023 and October 2025, have been recalled. The recalled stoves are dark green and have an orange “Ozark Trail” logo on the front and were sold by Walmart online and in stores. The recall includes stoves that have the model number BG2247A1, which is printed on a grey label and can be found inside the fuel compartment.

The recall posted on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website on November 26th, 2025, states that the camping stoves made by China Windows Industry can explode or catch fire, causing burn injuries.

Exploding Stoves Sold at Walmart

The manufacturing company (China Window Industry Co., Ltd) has received 26 reports of the camping stoves exploding or catching fire, including 16 reports of users suffering injuries such as second-degree burns. Anyone who has purchased the stove should stop using it immediately.

Consumers can return the stove to any Walmart retail store for a full refund. For more information on recalled items at Walmart, customers can call Walmart at 800-925-6278 from 7 a.m. through 9 p.m. or visit them online here.
