There are a lot of great holiday events going on in the Hudson Valley this weekend, but if you have the time there's a great event going on in Kingston honoring those who are serving and have served in our military.

If you've driven by Camping World in Kingston you can't miss the gigantic American Flag that flies above it. Not only is a beautiful sight, but there's also a great message behind it. The flag, which measures 40x80 and flies on a 130ft pole, is there to honor present and past members of our armed forces. This particular tradition of raising the flag started in 2014 with several Camping World and Good Sam locations and the tradition continues this year.

Camping World and Good Sam Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis hopes the event will bring the community members together to celebrate such brave men and women. In a recent press release Lemonis stated "We love having the opportunity to bring together local communities to celebrate our great country and the brave men and women who have fought for us, and will continue raising these flags in other markets in the coming months.”
