Popular All Day Kingston Bakery Announces Temporary Closure

In November 2024 the team at Kingston Bread + Bar shared unfortunate news with their loyal customers.

After 5 years in businesses, they would be leaving their North Front Street location in January 2025 and looking for a new spot to set up shop. Kingston Bread + Bar made it clear that they weren't being forced out, and they would staying in Kingston.

More importantly, they would keep baking for their wholesale partners and for local farmers markets.

At the time they wrote "We are fortunate to have so many folks come through our doors every day—especially those who have pivoted with us so many times since 2020."  With that they added:

"We don’t have an exact date for when we’ll be leaving our current space, nor when (or where) we’ll be opening a new one.

As of April 2025, it looks like Kingston Bread + Bar has a new home.

Kingston Bread + Bar Has a New Home in Ulster County

On March 31st, 2025, Kingston Bread + Bar shared that they have officially signed a lease on a new location and have some big shoes to fill.

Staying true to their word, Kingston Bread and Bar is staying in town and moving in to 608 Broadway in Midtown Kingston.

The bakery writes:

We’ve always loved this building, and have long been dreaming about how we can honor and bring life back to this special space — former home of the beloved PAKT and the best Bloody Mary brunch in town.

They add "We’ve got big shoes to fill."

Now that they have a new location, how long will we have to wait for them to open?

When Will Kingston Bread + Bar Reopen?

Kingston Bread + Bar says they have a "few months of construction ahead" and should be reopening some time this summer.

They will still be bringing you delicious sandwiches, soups, salads and "beverages of all kind."

For the time being, they will continue keeping their bakery at Barbarossa Lane open.
