Applesauce for Toddlers Being Recalled

It's the perfect combination for any family, healthy snacks in a convenient pouch. You just grab them and go. Today, one of the makers of these convenient foods for children is issuing a voluntary recall on their applesauce pouches after some mold was found in their products.

According to NBC News, GoGo SqueeZ  is recalling applesauce with best by dates between June 30, 2016, and July 26, 2016, after it was determined that a production issue could lead to the applesauce pouches harboring fruit mold. According to the report, a company statement said the mold poses no health risk when eaten, but noted that the affected applesauce could have an unpleasant look or taste.

The company's website says that while they were able to catch most of the potentially affected products before they got to the stores, a small amount may still have reached store shelves.
