
Baby Food Sold at New York Target Stores Has Been Recalled
Over 25,000 packages of baby food sold at Target stores nationwide are being recalled due to elevated lead levels.
If you have a baby at home and have purchased baby food at a Target store recently, make sure you check to see if the food is part of a recent recall notice by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Baby Food Sold at Target Recalled
According to the Ulster County Department of Health, Good & Gather, a brand of baby food sold at Target stores, has been voluntarily recalled after its baby food product was showing high levels of lead. A recall notice issued by the FDA stated that the Target brand Good & Gather baby Pea, Zucchini, Kale & Thyme Vegetable Puree has been recalled for lead contamination.

The recall was initiated back on March 12th, and classified as a Class II recall, indicating a potential health risk, on April 3rd, 2025.
Good & Gather Baby Food Recalled
The Baby Pea, Zucchini, Kale & Thyme Vegetable Puree foods were sold at Target stores nationwide and are sold in 4-ounce packages that are made for children 6 months and older. The recall indicated that the foods will have a UPC code: 1 91907-99314 1. The recalled batches of food include Lot 4169 (Best Before Dec 09, 2025) and Lot 4167 (Best Before Dec 07, 2025). In total, the recall affects approximately 25,600 units of baby food.
If you find that you have any of the recalled baby food, the FDA is advising that it not be consumed. Customers should return it to the Target store where it was purchased.
