Canned Cocktails Sold in New York Recalled After Being Put Into Celsius Cans

A popular canned cocktail drink has been recalled after some of its vodka seltzer was accidentally put in Celsius energy drinks.

High Noon Drinks Sold in New York Recalled

High Noon, the company that makes one of the more popular vodka seltzer drinks on the market, has announced that it is recalling two of its products after an apparent labeling mistake.

According to the Food and Drug Administration's website, High Noon is recalling an unspecified number of its Beach Variety packs after the company discovered that the packs contain cans that are filled with High Noon vodka seltzer alcohol but have been mislabeled as Celsius Astro Vibe energy drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition with a silver top.

Alcohol Mistakenly Put Into Celsius Cans

The company said it issued the recall after it realized a shared packaging supplier mistakenly shipped empty Celsius cans to High Noon, and the alcoholic beverages were then sold under a non-alcoholic label.

The affected products were shipped to distributors in New York, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Those products were then sent to retailers in New York, Florida, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin between July 21st and July 23rd.

What to Look For on Packages

The recall is exclusively for High Noon Beach Variety 12-pack/12 fluid ounce cans with the lot codes of
L CCC 17JL25 14:00 to L CCC 17JL25 23:59 and L CCC 18JL25 00:00 to L CCC 18JL25 03:00. Lot codes can be located on the exterior of the 12-packs.

The company also advised consumers to ensure that their Celsius Astro Vibe Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition, does not contain the lot codes L CCB 02JL25 2:55 to L CCB 02JL25 3:11 before consuming, saying, "Consumption of the liquid in these cans will result in unintentional alcohol ingestion."

The lot codes can be found lasered on the bottom of each can.
