Where did the summer go? It feels like just yesterday we were gearing up for a big summer in the Hudson Valley. Now we are looking towards the holidays and winter. But let’s not wish the fall away. There is still time to enjoy the great outdoors in the Hudson Valley before the snow flies.

You can still hike The Ridge in New Paltz, cross the Hudson on the Walkway and golf on one of the picturesque golf courses in the Valley. We golfers all have a favorite course but this time of year you play where you can as the golfing days get fewer and the season starts coming to a close.

Spending a crisp autumn day playing golf is my idea of the perfect fall day. I won’t say my game is better in the fall but I will say being out on a course in the fresh air with the leaves turning and the slight chill rising off the ground on each green makes playing fall golf in the Hudson Valley worth the effort.
