Red Hook Needs Our Help

Can you volunteer on Wednesday or Thursday?

According to the Red Hook Plays Facebook page they have been working extremely hard to build a brand new play place for children in the Red Hook area and after this past weekend they are almost done with an amazing project.

The community has been working so hard that even Moms from the area were out in full force on Mother's Day to get the work done according to their Facebook page.

They wrote, "A very Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms that helped out this weekend! With your help and the help of every one of our volunteers, we were able to build an amazing play facility for the children and grandchildren of our community to enjoy (and who’s to say we can’t have a little fun ourselves 😉) Thank you!"

They are super close to being able to open for play but need one more round of volunteers to rake some mulch on Wednesday and Thursday. They wrote on Facebook that, "HELP NEEDED: We are looking for volunteers to help out Wednesday & Thursday from 5pm-7pm with surfacing. We have 2 truck loads of wood chips coming in that needs to be raked out. We are hoping with enough volunteers, we can complete this task so the playground can be open for play! Please bring a garden rake!"
