Highland: The Gunk Haus Is Holding a Yard Sale

It is definitely yard sale season in the Hudson Valley. It may have gotten off to a slow start thanks to COVID-19 but each week more and more signs go up in Hudson Valley neighborhoods. This weekend's weather is perfect for yard selling. Whether you are a shopper or and seller something tells me there will be some great finds in the Valley this weekend.

As a matter of fact one place you should plan to stop after you use you favorite yard sale app to map you route is The Gunk Haus in Highland. This favorite Hudson Valley restaurant suffered a devastating blow right before they we to open after the COVID shutdown in New York. The building was hit by a car which cause a fire and a lot of damage. That happen in June and unfortunately they have been closed ever since.

This weekend though it seems you can swing by to check in with the Gunk Haus crew. According to their Facebook page they are holding a yard sale both Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM. Apparently they have a whole lot of items and are looking forward to giving back to the community.

The Gunk Haus is one of my husband and I's favorite places to go after we golf at Apple Green just down the road. We have been able to stop by yet in 2020 due to the fire but I am thinking the yard sale will be the perfect opportunity to check in.
