Black Eyed Job Interview

Would you go to a job interview with a black eye?

Every Wednesday on the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show we turn the show over to you guys and whatever is bothering you. We call it "We Gotcha Wednesday" and this week we focus on an email we got from a lady who is getting ready to on a job interview on Thursday and she got a big ol shiner.

She wrote us, "Hey guys, need some quick advice if you can help. I got a black eye the other day when my youngest was swinging a dog toy at the dog (a big rope with a knot in the end of it) and whacked me right in the eye. It's black and blue and it looks terrible.

My problem is I have a big job interview on Thursday and I really want this job. It's my second interview so I think I have a good shot at it.

I'm afraid that the interviewer is going to assume I got beat up or I was in a bar fight or something totally awful, so I'm thinking of canceling but I don't want to blow it by seeming flaky.

What should she do?"

I say just go to the interview and tell the interviewer the story and making it funny, like one caller said to us, "say something like hashtag mom life."

Jess said that she should maybe look into getting some make up to cover it up.
