Beth Christy Learned a lot About Solar Power This Weekend
Today, I had a chance to broadcast live from the New York State Solar Farm showroom in Modena for the New York State Solar Farm Solar Festival. They had a petting zoo, bouncy house, food trucks, and even a solar powered ice cream truck.
While I was there, I asked a lot of questions about solar power. While I know we've all seen solar panels on roofs, even solar farms with hundreds of panels on posts in the ground, how does it really work? What happens if you have a week of cloudy weather or even snow and ice? How does the power generated by these panels get converted so you can actually use it?
I asked those questions and many more. Anthony Sicari, Jr. was my guide into the world of solar power and answered every question I had, plus did a pretty amazing demo with their solar panels. You'll see the demo towards the end of this video, I was really shocked.
I always like learning new things, and that certainly happened today. They are a family-owned and operated company and they are local, which is really important. It's pretty amazing technology and everyone there was really friendly and helpful. If you want more information, you can call 845-255-0610, or click here.
I just have to figure out how to get the solar powered ice cream truck to make a weekly stop at our building.
