Growing up in the 80's and being a huge wrestling fan, hearing this news really stinks.

According to the website Comic Book, wrestler King Kong Bundy, real name Christopher Alan Pallies, passed away Monday afternoon at the age of 61.

I can remember back in the 80's, like most kids my age, I was a huge Hulk Hogan fan and the first time I can remember really hating another wrestler was when King Kong Bundy attacked the Hulkster on an episode of Saturday Night's Main Event.

I just remember this huge guy hitting my guy Hogan with his big belly splashes on his back, so bad that Hulk had a pretty bad rib injury that all lead to one of my favorite steel cage matches ever at WrestleMania 2. If you don't remember, Hulk did win the match by escaping the cage.

Bundy wrestled on and off for the WWF which then became the WWE up until 1995. He did keep busy wrestling on the independent scene over the next 12 years. He last match on record was in December of 2007.

Bundy did try his hand at acting along the way as well with a pair of appearances on the TV comedy show, Married with Children and was also in a few movies in the 80's and 90's.

Many thanks and prayers to Bundy's family and friends. R.I.P.
