The Original Country Gold With Rowdy Yates: Featuring CMA Album of the Year Winners
If you have a favorite country song, or two, that you haven’t heard in awhile, chances are that Rowdy Yates has it, and a few others you may have forgotten about, and will play them for you weekends on The Original Country Gold with Rowdy Yates, Saturday nights from 7 to midnight and Sunday mornings from 6-11.
This week, Rowdy will be shining the spotlight on the first female ever to win the coveted CMA Album of the year award, Tammy Wynette in 1968 with D-I-V-O-R-C-E on Epic records. She would go on to win in this category again the following year for Stand By Your Man, also on Epic Records.
Both albums are classics and the title tracks are now legendary recordings. While her personal life had many ups and downs, in fact she always renewed her beautician's license every year, just in case. She is one of country's legendary ladies and artists.
It's going to be a great show this weekend, don't miss it as Rowdy will play five of Tammy's biggest hits this weekend on The Original Country Gold with Rowdy Yates, Saturday night from 7 to midnight and Sunday morning from 6-11 on 94.3/97.3 The Wolf.
