If you have a favorite country song, or two, that you really want to hear again, chances are that Rowdy Yates has it, as well as a few others you may have forgotten about, and will play them for you weekends on The Original Country Gold with Rowdy Yates, Saturday nights from 7 to midnight and Sunday mornings from 6-11.

This week, Rowdy will be shining the spotlight on one of Country’s leading ladies, Reba. He’ll take us back to her discovery in 1975 and will feature her biggest hits throughout the show. If you have a favorite Reba song, call Rowdy and let him know.

Shortly after starting my radio career, Reba released a song in 1990, that I would listen to over and over. I couldn't get enough of it. While I was painting my house and listening to the country station I worked at, I turned the volume up every time it came on. I wanted to learn the lyrics as fast as I could. Then the video came out.

This wasn't the first time I had heard Reba, after all it was 1990 and she had hits in the 80's like this one, another favorite of mine.

Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott's mom, Linda Davis, sings backup vocals on this with Reba, and I remember when I first heard it, you couldn't tell them apart. Then the video came out and I remember watching it to see if I had guessed right as to who sang which part.

It's going to be another fun show this weekend, don't miss it as Rowdy will highlight Reba  every hour this weekend on The Original Country Gold with Rowdy Yates, Saturday night from 7 to midnight and Sunday morning from 6-11 on 94.3/97.3 The Wolf.
