Surprisingly One Ulster County Business Declared ‘I Stand With Ukraine’, Which One?
I'm happy they are but was shocked when I saw this banner hanging from the outside of the building.
If you are following the news of the world, you already know that things in Ukraine are just bad right now and as we approach the two-month mark of the conflict, many Hudson Valley residents and businesses have announced that they are "standing with Ukraine". One of the "I Stand with Ukraine" businesses surprised me.
Interesting Establishment Stands with Ukraine
Last week, as I was driving from Poughkeepsie to New Paltz, I drove past a certain business that had a banner hanging from the outside of the establishment that made me do a double-take. I was heading west on Route 299 making my way into New Paltz and as I looked to my left, I noticed that the location that's home to some of the Hudson Valley's only adult dancers is proudly displaying a banner stating that "I Stand With Ukraine."
Yup even the dancers at the Blue Moon Cabaret are letting everyone know that they are standing with Ukraine. I can't be the only one who was surprised to see the banner, I mean it's on a strip club, right?....LOL! Seriously I LOVE the fact that they have announced they are supporting the people of Ukraine but I do think the wording on the banner could have been done better. Instead of "stand" maybe dance..or strip...just spitballing!!!
Hudson Valley Stands With Ukraine
I've also noticed while driving around that more and more homes and businesses have started to hang Ukraine flags outside. I've seen churches with messages of prayers and more in Poughkeepsie and honestly, I love how when something like what's going on in Ukraine happens, people from the Hudson Valley do what they can to show support. Let's hope the conflict ends sooner than later and thanks to the people at the Blue Moon for doing their part.
