Recently in the news we have been hearing a lot about Hurricane Dorian wrecking havoc on parts of the country.

Throughout the summer, we have had some pretty nasty thunderstorms here and some tornados have touched down in places that usually never see them.

My first severe weather experience was last year at my parents house. A tornado actually touched down in our town, and needless to say we were VERY unprepared and had no power for 5 days.

It made me start to think, if a severe storm happened here would I be prepared? What supplies should I have?

I started brainstorming and came up with a few ideas:

1) Bottled Water

2) Snacks

3) Candles

4) Flashlights

5) Battery operated radio

6) Generator (They can be pricey, ugh)

7) Some form of a liquor (What else is there to do?)

If you think of other supplies that are important, feel free to drop a comment below.
