It's the 5th year of the tractor parade in Pine Bush this Saturday.

The parade has had many names over the years and this year it has been renamed the Sergeant Eric O. Meier Memorial Ride.

SGT Meier from the Crawford police department past away in the line of duty back in September and Crawford Police chief Chief Dominic Blasko said that Meier was a police officer in Crawford for more than 25 years and he was a beloved figure in the town, a man deeply involved in his community.

So this year and for years to come the parade will have extra special meaning for a great community.

The tractor parade will get underway at 2:30pm on Saturday December 5th and come down Route 52. There will be a Christmas tree lighting cermony as well.

One of the organizers, Fritz Meier told us that the tractors will pretty much all have some sort of decorations on them for the holidays so round up the kids and head out to a great local event in memory of a great man.
