The FDA has announced that Pinnacle Foods Group LLC is voluntarily recalling a certain bottles of its Wish-Bone Ranch Salad Dressing, because Wish-Bone Blue Cheese Dressing was accidentally packaged in Ranch Salad Dressing bottles.

The Blue Cheese dressing product contains eggs, a known allergen that is not declared on the packaging. If you or someone you know have allergies or a severe sensitivity to eggs, there is a risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if this product is consumed.  If you are not allergic to eggs, this product is safe to eat. No illnesses have been reported to date. The Food and Drug Administration has been made aware of this recall as a result of a consumer phone call.

The FDA press release states that the product was produced on April 23, 2015 by a contract manufacturer. In total, 8,678 cases of Wish-Bone Ranch Salad Dressing in 24 oz. bottles, distributed nationwide, are involved in the recall. The bottles affected are labelled as Wish-Bone Ranch Salad Dressing, 24 oz; UPC code 0-41321-00661-6 with a best used by date of Feb 17 16,  found on the neck label of the bottle. No other Wish-Bone products are included in this recall.
