If you're a cyclist, runner, or walker, there's a great event coming in September that's perfect for you. Plus, you'll be helping individuals and families here in the Hudson Valley who are facing financial challenges while receiving cancer treatment.

For the past 13 years, this event has raised funds to help cancer patients and their families through the Benedictine Health Foundation's Rosemary D. Gruner Memorial Cancer Fund. They’ve helped more than 1,550 cancer patients and their families with $500 gift cards to purchase nutritious food at Hannaford Supermarkets and/or fuel at Stewart’s Shops to assist with transportation costs.

Here's what you need to know. The 13th annual Bike for Cancer Care is Sunday, September 18th at Dietz Stadium in Kingston, to benefit the Benedictine Health Foundation's Rosemary Gruner Memorial Cancer Fund.  3 different routes are offered, a 12, 25, and the Dan Barnes Memorial 50 mile ride. Click here for registration information.

This year,  they've added a new event, a family-friendly 5K Run/Walk For Cancer Care in honor of Lisa Naccarato Schatzel and Carly Elaina Bradley. This will take place throughout the Historic Stockade District in Uptown Kingston and the Kids' Fun Run will be inside Dietz Stadium.

It's a great day that helps so many families here in the Hudson Valley. We hope to see you there this year.
