Bike, Run, or Walk for Cancer Care This Weekend

If you’re a cyclist, runner, or walker, there’s a great event this Sunday that would be perfect for you and you don't have to be a serious runner, walker, or cyclist to participate. It's a fun day where monies are raised to help individuals and families here in the Hudson Valley who are facing financial challenges while receiving cancer treatment.
For the past 13 years, this event has raised funds to help cancer patients and their families through the Benedictine Health Foundation’s Rosemary D. Gruner Memorial Cancer Fund. They’ve helped more than 1,550 cancer patients and their families with $500 gift cards to purchase nutritious food at Hannaford Supermarkets and/or fuel at Stewart’s Shops to assist with transportation costs.
Here’s what you need to know for this weekend. Registration starts at 7:45 this Sunday morning for the 13th annual Bike for Cancer Care at Dietz Stadium in Kingston. If you are going to by cycling there are 3 different routes offered, a 12, 25, and the Dan Barnes Memorial 50 mile ride. Click here for registration information.
If you would rather walk or run, they've added a new even this year, a family-friendly 5K Run/Walk For Cancer Care in honor of Lisa Naccarato Schatzel and Carly Elaina Bradley. This will take place throughout the Historic Stockade District in Uptown Kingston and the Kids’ Fun Run will be inside Dietz Stadium.
It’s a great day that helps so many families here in the Hudson Valley. We hope to see you there this year.
