The one-of-a-kind brewery will be the perfect place to spend the day.

Over the last few years, to nobody's surprise, the Hudson Valley has become a hotspot for wineries and breweries. The brewery business in the Hudson Valley is becoming larger and larger by the day and it looks like the small town of Tivoli, New York is the next Hudson Valley town to reap some of the brewery benefits.

Lasting Joy Brewery has officially announced that they are expecting to open a one-of-a-kind brewery in Tivoli in May and once open, guests are in for an amazing experience while sipping on some great beers, as well as wine, cider, spirits, and food from neighboring producers.

The brewery is the work of longtime brewer Alex Wenner, and as Alex and his wife Emily were looking to make their dream brewery come to life, they were looking for the perfect location to incorporate family, beer, and brewing, and found it in Tivoli. Alex said,

"My favorite things are my family, and beer and brewing. Over the years as Emily and I have become parents of four, I’ve always been on the hunt for a place where I can enjoy both at the same time. At Lasting Joy we're aiming for a quality of product that will satisfy the most discerning beer lover, paired with a hospitality experience that will entice their friends and family to stay and linger for the afternoon."

Beer Made with Only New York Ingredients

Lasting Joy has been designated as a New York State Brewery and that means that all beers will contain hops, malt, and other ingredients that are from farm partners in New York State. They will feature four year-round beers including, a classic and refreshing Czech Pilsner, an English Beet Stout made with New York-grown beets, a piney, citrusy Hazy IPA; and a fruity Belgian Wheat.

What the Brewery Will Look Like

To give guests a one-of-a-kind experience, Alex and Emily wanted to bring their vision of making the brewery more than just a place to drink beer. They want to build a space where guests can spend the entire afternoon. To do that they turned to part-time Hudson Valley resident Aron Himmelfarb who started the New York City-based architecture firm Auver. After trips to many breweries and wineries, Aron came up with an amazing facility.

As you can see, this place looks like it's going to be a perfect place to spend a day as it'll be set on 31 acres overlooking great views of the surrounding area. It'll have an open pavilion tasting room with a floating bar featuring 12 taps, seats 60 with standing room for 99. Next door, the existing barn has been repurposed into the brewery and offices, with glass roll-up doors in the brewery allowing guests to experience the beer-making process.

Local & Evinvormetly Friendly

Once open and brewing Lasting Joy will deliver all of their spent grain to local farms to use for feed. Their tasting room will use biodegradable utensils and sustainable cleaning products. They will also offer electric car charging stations in the parking lot.
