I have to call this what it is, another case of STOLEN VALOR!

If you missed it, Brian Williams of NBC Nightly News suspended himself for "several days" after admitting that his now-infamous helicopter story wasn't true. The story he told was that he was in a helicopter that was hit with RPG fire as it flew over Iraq and that he was stranded in the area for 3 days. After telling the story on Letterman, a solider that was actually in one of the helicopters called out Brian on his story by saying that he remembered telling Brian what had happened to him and his team and Brian took that and made it his. Brian Williams has admitted to embellishing his story.

Here is the original news cast:

NBC News is suspending Brian for six months without pay, effective immediately. Lester Holt will continue filling in him.

NBC stopped short of canning him, because, quote, "We felt it would've been wrong to disregard the good work Brian has done ... he's been an important and well-respected part of our organization."

Brian hasn't commented.

Here is Brian's apology..
