Last week frozen green beans were recalled for fear of Listeria contamination and now new fears are causing some packages of frozen corn to be recalled. According to the FDA, Bonduelle USA Inc. of Brockport, NY is recalling 9,335 cases of frozen corn because they could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes,which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

The frozen cut corn was distributed to stores in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Massachusetts, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana. The label names include WYLWOOD Super Sweet Whole Kernel Corn, MARKET BASKET Cut CornBOUNTIFUL HARVEST Whole Kernel Cut Corn, WEST CREEK FROZEN VEGETABLES Cut Corn. The company hasn't received any complaints in relation to this product and is not aware of any illnesses associated with the product to date.
