The Ellenville Police Department has issued a missing person alert and is hoping that the community can help them locate a missing 40-year-old man who has been missing for than a week.

Missing Man From Ellenville, New York

Police are hoping to locate Jerrod C. Anderson, who was last seen leaving his house Wednesday night at approximately 10 p.m. Police described Anderson as a 40-year-old black male with black hair and brown eyes. Anderson weighs 300 pounds and stands 6'5'' tall with a tattoo on his left forearm.

Police said that Anderson was last seen leaving his house in Ellenville, NY, at 10 p.m. on April 2nd. He was driving a silver 2017 Kia Sorrento, with New York license plate number KBX-7840. Police said the vehicle has damage to the passenger side door.

The vehicle was last seen on Route 32 in the town of Newburgh on Tuesday, April 8th, at approximately 2:20 p.m.

Police didn't share any other details about the case or what might have happened but did say that the community has been searching for Anderson for over a week and are hoping by spreading his picture around on social media and other platforms that someone might recognize Anderson's picture and contact them so they can make sure he is safe.
