The second Powerball drawing in December has produced a $1 million Hudson Valley winner.

One of the most exciting things that can happen to someone is to win some sort of lottery drawing, right? For most of us, the most we will win when it comes to playing any game or lottery drawing is winning the 50/50 raffle at our local fire department's yearly community day. Yes, if that happens you will most likely get extremely excited about winning, but, do you think your excitement would be higher if you realize you have a million-dollar winning lottery ticket?

Winning Powerball Ticket Sold at Hudson Valley Gas Station

Unfortunately, most of us will never get to experience anything like what I mentioned above. Still, there is a Powerball player from the Hudson Valley who is over the moon with excitement this morning because they are holding a winning million-dollar Powerball ticket. The winning Powerball ticket was purchased at the popular Shell gas station located at 53 Route 59 in Nyack, New York sometime between Sunday, December 3rd, and Monday, December 4th.

Winning Powerball Numbers

If you've never played Powerball, players get to choose five numbers from 1 to 69 and one number from 1 to 26. If they match all five plus the Powerball number players win the jackpot for that drawing. The winning ticket sold at the Shell gas station in Nyack, off of 287, matched all five randomly selected numbers drawn on Monday, 18-19-27-28-45, and the Powerball 9. The winning ticket missed the $416,000,000 jackpot by one number missing only the Powerball number.

There were no Powerball jackpot winners for the last drawing, which means the jackpot will climb to $435 million for the next drawing which will happen on Wednesday, December 6th.
