Big Lots Closing Select Stores in New York
Big Lot stores across New York are holding "store closing" sales.
Over the last few weeks, various Big Lots stores in New York have announced that specific locations will be closing their doors sooner than later, with many of the stores holding massive sales on everything in stock.
New York Big Lot Stores Closing
Currently, we have located three Big Lot stores in New York that are set to close over the next few months and if you are looking to save some money, you might want to head into these locations as soon as possible.
The first Big Lots closing in New York is located on Central Ave in Colonie, New York and according to a few posts on social media, the store currently has signs all over the building stating that "this location only is closing soon" and offering 20% off the entire store.
The second location that appears to be closing is located on Long Island at 1103 Old Country Rd, Riverhead, NY according to Riverhead Local.
This storefront also has signs all over stating "Store Closing", as well as folks standing on the sidewalk near the store holding "Store Closing" signs last week.

Newburgh, New York Big Lots Closing?
One of the Hudson Valley's more popular Big Lots stores in Newburgh is set to close soon but the closing appears to only be temporary.
The store located on North Plank Road, Newburgh, NY is scheduled to close in mid-January according to a store employee. The last day of business at the North Plank Road store is set for January 14th and once they close they will begin to relocate to a new store.
New Big Lots Store in Newburgh
The new Big Lots store appears to be relocating to the Mid Valley Mall near Market 32 on North Plank Road. The store employee didn't have an exact date when the store will open but did tell us that they have been told it should take about six months to complete the move. Once the move is complete and they announce an opening date we will update this article.
Why Are Big Lot Stores Closing?
Big Lots hasn't announced why the select stores in New York are closing or relocating but did announce earlier this year that they planned to close stores in Colorado and California due to financial issues.
