Popular Dutchess County Fun Center Adds More Attractions

Big changes are underway at one of the Hudson Valley's favorite places to have summer fun.

If you've lived in the Hudson Valley for a while you already know that one of the best places to spend a couple of hours during the warmer months is located on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls, NY. For many years they were known as Fun Central, today they go by DC Sports and no matter the name, they offer guests the chance to enjoy some indoor/outdoor fun and this year they have added a couple of new attractions for the summer.

DC Sports in Wappingers Falls, New York

If you remember back when DC Sports took over the former Fun Central the new owners promised changes and upgrades to the popular fun center and over the years they have come through adding sand volleyball courts, indoor golf, mini golf, and more. Those upgrades were just the beginning according to DC sports owner Dan Pizzarelli who told us they have just finished adding even more fun!

If you've driven by DC Sports recently you might have noticed that they have been putting the finishing touches on some new things for everyone to try out this year and although some were sad to see one attraction close many are excited to try out what's new.

Bumper Boats Gone

The once popular bumper boats pool has been drained, and the boats have been shipped out of town and replaced with a new bounce house area at DC Sports. As you can see in the picture above the once water-filled pool is now home to a bunch of bouncy houses that will offer hours of bounce fun for folks of all ages.

DC has also added a new basketball court for guests to shoot around on, and new colored carpets to their fun-filled mini golf course. Inside DC, they've also added a new challenging rock climbing wall, blacklight mini golf, and arcade games.
