Out of all the trends to happen within the last few years, this is one of my favorites.

Bringing classic movies back to the big screen for a night or two lets us relive the nostalgia of some of our favorite movies like Back to the Future and The Sandlot.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the original Jurassic Park will be coming back theaters here in the Hudson Valley and around the U.S.

To celebrate the Steven Spielberg films 25th anniversary, Jurassic Park will be returning to more than 500 movie theaters September 16, 18 and 19. Tickets are available for purchase on the Fathom Events website as well as movie theater box offices.

Not only will fans be able to enjoy their favorite dinosaur movie on the big screen again, but according to Entertainment Weekly there will be a fan made surprise. EW says showings  "will include a 17-minute remake of the movie, created by fans around the world."

Jurassic Park will be playing at on Hudson Valley theater at the Regal Galleria Mall Stadium 16 at the Poughkeepsie Galleria at 2pm on September 16 and  7pm on September 18.

Did you know that there is strong Hudson Valley connection to Jurassic Park? The character of Tim is played by Joseph Mazzello, who is originally from Rhinebeck and will be starring in the new Queen film "Bohemian Rhapsody" playing Queen bass guitarist John Deacon .
