Brrrrr...I just came in from shoveling snow, okay I actually came in almost 20 minutes ago, it just took me that long to take off my coat, hat, 2 scarves, 2 pairs of gloves, legwarmers("Flashdance" has nothing on me), and boots. I took the picture of the Thermometer off of our back porch and it doesn't tell half of it. The National Weather Service isn't joking around when they talk about dangerous wind chills. You've got to bundle up and if you have any health conditions, leave the shoveling to someone else.

Here's some good advice from our friends at the American Heart Association.Individuals with existing heart disease or stroke, and those who may be at high risk for these illnesses need to use caution during heavy snowfalls and wintry conditions. This includes people with a strong family history, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smokers, those who are overweight and the sedentary.  For these individuals, the stresses of the cold weather may pose extra concern and the association is urging individuals to use caution to avoid sudden cardiac death and hypothermia.  The AHA also recommends that everyone learn Hands-Only CPR.
