Many supermarkets and other stores in the Hudson Valley announced new hours or other major changes in response to the coronavirus.

Every Price Chopper, Market 32 and Market Bistro will now close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 7 a.m. to allow for restocking and cleaning. Previously, the company announced all stores would be close from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m.

Additionally, all stores will pre-open exclusively to seniors from 6 a.m. until 7 a.m each day, starting Thursday.

Target announced all stores will close at 9 p.m. to allow staff to clean and restock the store. The company didn't announce when stores will reopen but added the first hour of shopping each Wednesday will be reserved for vulnerable guests, including the elderly and those with underlying health concerns.

ShopRite hasn't officially announced new hours, but notes on its website some stores may operate on modified schedules to allow for restocking and additional cleaning. The company also temporarily suspended its returns, refunds and raincheck policies.

Adams Fairacre Farms announced all store hot bars and salad bars will no longer be self-serve and will be staff-serviced only with packaged food options. The store is also offering a senior-only shopping hour from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Walmart is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. until further notice, to allow effective cleaning of stores.

Hannaford announced its Hannaford To Go services are still available, but you may find it difficult to reserve same-day or next-day pick-up times. It's recommended reserving a pick-up time earlier than normal, officials say.
