How much me time do Mom's need?

Every Wednesday on the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show we turn the Wolf studios into a group therapy session with, what we call "We Gotcha Wednesday".

We get tons of emails from listeners all across the Hudson Valley and once a week we pick one email to read on the air in hopes of getting some advice for the person who sent us the email.

This weeks email involves a mom and her me time. Casandra wrote,

"Hey CJ and Jess, here is my problem, my mother and I are fighting because she disagrees with some of my personal choices. She is making me feel guilty because I leave my 7 year-old son and 9 year-old daughter in aftercare until 6 every night so I can go and do yoga after work. She says I am neglecting my children instead of spending time with them. I told her my job is stressful and I need my time at yoga to unwind and relax. My sister and my aunt are also beating me up. Should I feel guilty? None of them has asked to help out? Am I doing anything wrong?"

Both Jess and I agree that every Mom needs her own "me" time and the fact that she is using her me time for yoga and not happy hour is a win for everyone.
