Have you heard of Raising Cane's?

One thing I've realized as I get older is that I often find myself on the outside looking in when it comes to the things or places that have become really popular. Here's another example of it happening to me again, for like the third time this year, my 12-year-old son asked me about something he wanted to eat, and as he was asking me I had no clue what he was talking about.

Has Anyone Heard of Raising Cane's?

That's the question he should have asked me but instead the other day he asked me if I wouldn't mind driving him to get some fast-food chicken. As he was asking I assumed he wanted me to hop on the New York State Thruway and take him for what I thought was the best fast food chicken anywhere, Chick-fil-A! No, he didn't want Chick-fil-A, he wanted me to drive him into New York City so that we could get something from Raising Cane's.

What is a Raising Cane's?

After I stopped laughing (no way...LOL!) I asked him what is Raising Cane's? He proceeded to tell me that they have the "best chicken fingers in the world!" Oh, do they? How do you know this? "TikTok Dad!" That seems to be the answer to everything nowadays, right? Either that or Snapchat or YouTube (how we found out about Mr. Beast Burger) seems to be the place kids find out about things way before we do and it seems to work. Since he asked it's all he talks about, so I had to try and find out a little more about the chicken he claims is better than Chick-fil-A.

Have you tried Raising Cane's?

I found a bunch of information online about the company that opened back in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The company is known for not only having amazing chicken fingers but also for using Labrador dogs as the company's mascots. The one thing about food places is that information you find online is OK but there is nothing better than hearing from people that have actually tried it, so have you ever had Raising Cane's? Let us know through our station app.

Raising Cane's in New York

Since they opened in the 90s, Raising Cane's has begun expanding into other parts of the country and every year they seem to be getting closer and closer to the Hudson Valley. They recently opened a new location in Brooklyn, New York and according to NBC they are preparing to open their first location in Connecticut sometime in the next month or so, so it appears they are inching closer and closer to the Hudson Valley.
