What is A Sip and See Party?
Yes it's an actual thing.
Every Wednesday on the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show we pick a random email from a fellow Wolf listener that's looking for some advice with a problem or I think in this case, just trying to get something off their chest.
We tackle all kinds of problems and this week we learned about something that I have never heard of before. It's called a "Sip and See" party.
Megan sent us an email that basically asked Jess if she had every heard of, or ever went to a Sip and See party. Here is what she wrote to us....
"My brothers girlfriends sister had a party last weekend that I went to and wanted to know if Jess has ever heard of this kinda party. It was called a Sip and See and apparently this is big with new moms that are "cautious" about exposing their newborn to germs. The way the party was explained to me was that you come to see the new baby and have a cocktail. YOU CAN NOT TOUCH THE BABY THOUGH. YOU JUST SEE IT. Seriously, I wasn't allowed to hold the baby! I think I want my gift back...LOL. Have you guys every been to one of this parties? I just want to hold the baby!"
For me, I agree with Megan, if I'm gonna put a weekend day aside, buy a gift and come to your house, I'm picking up your kid!!! Jess seems to think this is something that is more popular in the south.
Have you ever heard of a Sip and See party? Have you ever gone to one? Call the show at 845-473-9431 or leave us a comment on Facebook.
