3 Dogs Found Abandoned in Putnam County
The Putnam County SPCA reports that back on July 13th, 2024, they were notified about 3 dogs that were abandoned "together on a seasonal dirt road."
In a social media post the Putnam County SPAC goes on to explain that the dogs were left with nothing, "like they were nothing." They added that Good Samaritans brought the dogs to safety.
Since then, the dogs have gone from nervous to truly feeling comfortable and loved.
Now the 3 pups are ready for their next adventure: Finding a forever family.
Forever Families, Foster Families Needed in Putnam County
On Monday, July 22nd, 2024, the Putnam County SPCA Dog Control Division called upon the public with an "UREGENT" message.
The 3 abandoned dogs, now named Valley, River and Rain, need a home. They're looking for rescues, adopters and fosters to step up and give these dogs a new home.
All 3 female pups are vaccinated as well as "HW/Lyme tested, and will be spayed in the upcoming weeks." While they were found together, the Putnam County SPCA says the "girls thrive separately."
Meet Valley, River and Rain The Adoptable Putnam County Pups
We wouldn't just tell you about these dogs without introducing you to them!
Meet Valley! She's a 1 year-old Collie Mix. According to the Putnam County SPCA she is the most shy out of the dogs, but once she gets to know you she's asking for all the affection. They add that she's house trained, gentle and great with other dogs!
Say "Hi" to River! She's a Collie Lab Mix and is "super loveable." River will be curling up on your lap on sight! She's house train and great with other dogs, the Putnam County SPCA adds that River is "very food motivated"...same, girl. Same.
And then there's Rain. She's 1 and half and is the "perfect shadow dog." Like Valley, River is a bit nervouse when it comes to meeting new people. But once River gets to know you she'll be right by your side. Good with other dogs, house trained, playful and friendly, Rain will make the perfect addition to your family.
If you're interested in adopting one of these good girls call the Putnam County SPCA at 845-531-7915 and fill out an application at form.jotform.com/92755664225161.
