Spring Nature Event Comes to the Walkway Over the Hudson

Events centered around Spring and its arrival are popping up everywhere. As the temperatures get warmer there are more things to do outside. Plus now that the clock had sprung ahead we also get sunshine longer in the afternoon.

If you are more of a morning person there is an event that you might want to attend that is happening next Thursday (March 20th). It is an annual event that lots of people have enjoyed over the years called "Walkwayhenge".

The Public is invited to come out on The Walkway Over the Hudson during the vernal (Spring) and autumnal (Fall) equinoxes to watch the sunrise line up with the deck of the Walkway. On Thursday the 20th this will happen for Spring 2025 so gates on both sides of the walkway will open at 6:30 AM for people to enjoy the experience.

When is the Walkway Over the Hudson Open

The Walkway Over the Hudson is now open daily from 7 AM to 7 PM but on March 20th it opens 30 minutes earlier for the vernal equinox event.

The Walkway Over the Hudson is now also offering you a way to celebrate an achievement or event by commemorating it with a plaque on one of the 454 solar lights that illuminate the Walkway.  You can now Adopt a Light on the Walkway.
