In times like these, it's important that we stay connected.

Verizon is working to make sure that here in the Hudson Valley and across the US are able to stay in touch with each other.

In a press release, Verizon announced they are going to "help eliminate worry for customers during time of great need." They have several plans in place to help those who may have lost a job and can't afford to keep their current plans and giving customers more data.

Starting on April 3rd, Lifeline Program customers will have a new program available to them where they can "any Verizon Fios speed in our Mix & Match plans and receive a $20 discount per month."

Ronan Dunne, CEO Verizon Consumer Group, said "While more than half of our wireless customer base is on an unlimited data plan, including all of our Fios and DSL broadband internet customers, we recognize there are many who may need additional connectivity during these trying times."

With that being said, Verizon is now offering "15GB of high-speed data for wireless consumer and small business customers to be automatically applied with no customer action necessary."
