Venomous Snake Missing at New York Zoo

This could be a fun game of hide and seek at the Bronx Zoo.

On Wednesday, August 7th the Bronx Zoo was notifying zoo-goers that one of the animals was missing from an exhibit. Unfortunately, it isn't a cuddle Kwala Bear.

According to ABC7 NY, a 3 and a half foot long reptile was missing from the JungleWorld exhibit. To be more specific, it's a Mangrove snake.

A little bit of research tells us that the Mangrove Snake is "mildly venomous."

The Bronx Zoo said in a statement "Mangrove snakes, though mildly venomous, are not known to be dangerous to people. They are shy, timid, secretive in nature and active at night," the zoo said in a statement."

So, I guess there's nothing to be worried about...right?
