Upstate New York Man Arrested, Allegedly Made Terroristic Threat
A 47-year-old man has been arrested after police say he made a terroristic threat at church on Sunday.
A Sunday church service took a scary turn over the weekend at a church in Columbia County, NY after police received numerous calls from parishioners saying that a man was making threats during Sunday service.
Man Makes Threat at Church in Hudson, New York
It all started around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, April 14th when police said they received numerous calls from members of St Mary's Church reporting an emergency situation involving an unidentified person in the church in Hudson, NY. Witnesses told police that a person wearing a mask and a long black cloak disrupted the Sunday service by shouting "All Hail" at the congregation and church officials. The person proceeded to walk towards the alter holding a glass bottle over his head according to the Hudson Police Department.
Before police arrived on the scene several of the church's parishioners stepped into action and apprehended and detained the person until police arrived. Once on the scene police identified 47-year-old Cameron Jamieson as the suspect and took him into custody. Witnesses at the scene told police that due to the nature of Jamieson's conduct, many were left concerned about the potential presence of an explosive device or a firearm. None were found.
Jamieson was transported to the Columbia Memorial Hospital for a mental health evaluation and police said that once Jamieson was discharged from the hospital they took him back into custody and charged him with one count of making a terroristic threat.

Police Thank Churchgoers
Mishanda Franklin, the chief of the Hudson Police Department thanked the churchgoers saying,
"We extend our sincere gratitude to the church members for their quick thinking and bravery in stepping in to assist before law enforcement arrived."
