The Ulster County Sheriff's Office Wellness Unit announced a new recognition program and its first recipient this week. The First 24/7 Champion Belt honor of 2025 has gone to Dispatcher William Bush.

This past Monday, the Ulster County Sheriff announced that they have a new initiative that recognizes members of their office. The 24/7 Champion Belt's design is inspired by the WWE 24/7 Championship. Dispatched William Bush is the inaugural winner after being nominated by his peers for his service.

Members of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office can be nominated for this honor by both the public and by Ulster County Sheriff's Office personnel. Anyone can nominate someone for this recognition. The idea is that they have witnessed the nominee performing an act of exceptional service or kindness.

How Ulster County Sheriff's 24/7 Champion Belt Nominations Work

All nominations are reviewed by the Wellness Unit of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. These nominations will be reviewed as they arrive in order to determine the next Belt holder. The current 24/7 Belt holder gets to keep the title until the next approved nomination is named.

That could be weekly or monthly, depending on when nominations are received. Also worth noting is that the person who holds the belt title the longest during the year will receive the 24/7 Year Belt.
