Let's face it we could all us some retail therapy but you can't get out to your favorite Hudson Valley store. With the local business shutdown due to COVID 19 the last two weeks we have been missing one of the thing a lot of us do to take our mind off bad news, Shopping. At the same time some of our favorite local businesses are wondering when they will be opening their doors and how they will pay bills in the meantime.

Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan has designated tomorrow (March 28th) "Shop Ulster Saturday". This is a joint effort with the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce to encourage people to shop their favorite Ulster businesses online. These locally own businesses help make Ulster County what it is, a place people like live in and visit often. Now more than ever it is important that we support them so that they too make it through this tough time.

So gather your friends online for a virtual shopping trip. Gift Cards, merchandise or both whatever your budget can support right now. Chances are your favorite place has a website or a Facebook page so reach out and let them know you are ready to shop. And this isn't just limited to Ulster County. Any local business you love would love to hear from you.

Share with us what businesses you are supporting by using #ShopUlsterSaturday.

Listen to Paty Quyn weekday afternoons from 3PM to 7PM on The Wolf. Stream us live through the website, Alexa-enabled device, Google Home or The Wolf mobile app.
