Can you believe summer is almost over?

While we're a little sad to see the hot and humid weather head out of the Hudson Valley, we have to admit...we're pretty excited for fall in the region.

What's even getting us more pumped is that a local pumpkin patch is up for a pretty big title.

Kelder's Farm in Kerhonkson has once again made the list of the Top 20 Best Pumpkin Patches in the nation according to USA Today. Now, it's up the public to narrow down the list to the 10Best Pumpkin Patches.

USA Today says about Kelder's Farm "Whether you're looking for the perfect photo op or a day of nonstop fun, Kelder's is a fantastic autumn destination in the Hudson Valley."

Kelder's Farm Gives Pumpkin Update Ahead of Pumpkin Season

As we wait for the results of the Best Pumpkin Patch search with USA Today, Kelder's Farm is giving us a sneak peek at what their patch is looking like so far.

In a social media post, Kelder's Farm writes that during a recent stroll through their pumpkin patch they noticed their "pumpkins are growing so fast and looking absolutely fantastic!"

Kelder's adds:

The vines are overflowing, and the patch is packed with healthy, growing pumpkins getting ready for their big autumn makeover.

Pumpkin varieties include Classic Jack-O’-Lanterns that are "big, sturdy, and built for carving."

Plus, Pie Pumpkins that are sweet, dense and perfect for baking. Kelder's is also growing uniquely shaped pumpkins, warts, whites, and colors "for the ultimate fall doorstep setup."

What's Going on at Kelder's Farm Now?

From now through September 7th, 2026, Kelder's Farm is hosting the Hudson Valley Flower Festival.

There are 10-acres of sunflowers just waiting to be picked. Plus, gorgeous wildflowers and including zinnias in bright oranges, reds, pinks and purples. It's an incredible sight to see.
