Accident Leaves Ulster County Canines in Urgent Need of Generators
Accident Outside Ulster County Canines Causes Serious Damage
A slick winter storm blew through the Hudson Valley this week making travel for commuters a bit tricky.
Ulster County Canines shared on the morning of December 3rd, 2025, that an accident took place in front of their rescue. Thankfully, no one was hurt. However, Ulster County Canines has found themselves "in quite the predicament."
A car hit a telephone pole in front of Ulster County Canines. The pole is now in 3 pieces and a 2nd pole is also damaged. The damaged has caused an issue at UCC. They are currently without heat, water and lights for "an undetermined amount of time."
Ulster County Canines in Urgent Need of Generators
Ulster County Canines is hoping the public can help them out of a tough situation.
They currently have 30 dogs at the rescue and without power it will get cold quickly, espeically because the sun goes down so early. Additionally, due to the accident the road is closed off and they have no idea when it will reopen for drop offs to happen.
Ulster County Canines took to social media and shared that they are in need of a handful of materials to make sure the pups are safe.
Currently they need:
Generator(s)
Kerosene Fuel Gallons
Bottles and Gallons of Water
Blankets
Candles (any and all types)
