Thanksgiving Mantle at Christy Cottage
How much do I love to decorate for the holidays or any special occasion really? The answer is a lot, I love to decorate. I particularly love decorating our mantle. I had never lived in a house that had a mantle before and I was not about to let that blank canvas go to waste.
I decorate it for birthdays, anniversaries, and, of course, holidays. It's been almost a year since I started sharing my mantle creations with you and here's a few things I have learned along the way.
I don't buy everything new each year, that would definitely break our budget, I buy after every holiday and get a few new things to add the following year at half the price; holiday colored M&M's add a pretty pop of color in vases or even cups; small strings of led lights or even battery-powered lights are my best friends, and just have fun with it-there are no rules.
Without any further ado, here's our Thanksgiving mantle. I'd like to say that I was in charge while decorating with our grandsons, but the truth is our 5-year old grandson was really the one in charge, I was merely an assistant.
How do you decorate for Thanksgiving? What are some of your tips and tricks? I'd love to hear them, maybe you could even share a pic or two of your home decorated for the holidays. If you've missed any of my other mantles throughout the year, here they all are. Happy Thanksgiving!
