Taking Down the Christmas Tree

When do you take yours down?

I have to be honest I am not a big fan of this time of year, I mean I love getting all into the holidays with the shopping, gatherings and of course all of the decorating that comes along with the holiday season but when the new year hits, it's all over and I HATE IT!

Not only will the credit card bills start coming sooner than later but now we all have to de-Christmas all of our houses. Time to put away everything that up put out about a month ago. The Christmas figurines that grandma made way back when, the reindeer and Santa statues all now will find their way back into a big bad cardboard box until next year. BOO! But what about your Christmas tree?

When do you take your tree down? I know that when I was younger my mom would always dedicate the Saturday after Christmas to getting the tree stripped of all of her ornaments and dragged out to the woods to rest in peace.

As a single adult I have decided to stretch the holiday spirit for a bit longer at my house. I have held out until now and I think I might try and keep my tree going until Valentines day. Too much?
