Spring

Peepers are the small frogs that tell us Spring is on the way. They were out in full force this week. And no worries because it turns out a little cold weather won't keep them or Spring from coming soon.

If you are like me, you get excited at every sign of spring. When I hear the peepers, I know it's right around the corner. In fact, my Gram always said that once you start to hear them, there's only 3 more winter-type events and you're home free...

Spring is officially here, The Yankees Played today in da Bronx. Bummer that they lost but hey the season has just begun.There are plenty of games left between now and the World Series this fall. Now that spring has arrived on the calendar and in the sports world it is time for it to arrive weather wise...

While getting ready for work this morning, I looked out of our bedroom window and was surprised by what I saw. I had to go out and take a closer look.

So it was a long winter but I was lucky enough to only lose electricity once. CH Energy Thanks for keeping the lights on during a long cold winter.

They have had enough winter too, that's why the lady bugs are out and about. A sure sign that spring is on the way. Just hang on through one more weekend of snow.

Now that Spring has finally arrived, bugs are coming back from their vacation and revisiting us here in the Hudson Valley. I'm a girl, yes, but bugs don't really phase me. I don't need anyone killing spiders for me, I'm so used to seeing stink bugs that I consider them friends (although, when I figured out they could fly I might have scream a little)...

While walking to my car this morning, I noticed something odd out of the corner of my eye. At first, I was a little nervous. What could this be?  It wasn't white and icy, it was green and soft and seemed to be coming up out of the ground...

I'm extremely happy that Winter is on it's way out and Spring is finally arriving. I got ahead of myself and went to the Rail Trail the other day, only to find that it was still covered in snow. Which is a bit of a bummer, but hopefully it will warm up soon...
